GSA Schedule Contracts: Risks & Rewards
A GSA Schedule is a terrific sales tool that can and should be used to enable vendors to sell commercial products and services to the Federal Government. GSA Schedules are known as a “License to Sell”, but Schedule holders must have an understanding to the rules.
In Government Fiscal Year (GFY) 2010, the government, using approximately 45 different schedules, purchased approximately 4.5 to 5 million million commercial supplies and services from more than approximately 20,400 contractors with a value exceeding $38.9 Billion.
Users acquired IT products and services under the IT Schedule with a total value of $16 Billion. This trend is continuing.
In Q1 of GFY 2011, total sales under the Schedules Program equaled $9.62 Billion.
While this is an attractive opportunity, there is an internal cost to obtain and administer the Schedule, and comply with its terms and conditions, and to market and sell products and services.
This seminar will be a practical briefing that will describe:
The Schedules Program
How to obtain a schedule
Administration of the Schedule
Audits
Other related topics that will provide some useful information
Whether you are new to GSA Schedules or want to refresh your memory after a long absence, this seminar will help you gain a better understanding of the Schedules Program.
